The Inventory & Purchasing Associate will work closely with finance and operations leadership to coordinate the timely procurement of materials and manage vendor relationships. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistent inventory flow and supporting overall operational efficiency.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with purchasing processes, inventory control, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcure raw materials, packaging, and operational supplies based on production forecasts and inventory levelsCreate, issue, and manage purchase orders; track deliveries to ensure on-time fulfillmentReconcile vendor invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentationMaintain accurate vendor, pricing, and product information within purchasing and inventory systemsDevelop and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure favorable pricing and service levelsResolve discrepancies related to orders, shipments, or invoicesPartner with accounting and operations teams to ensure purchasing aligns with budget and inventory needsSupport inventory tracking and control initiatives to minimize disruptionsMaintain organized documentation for audit and reporting purposesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field (Associate degree with relevant experience considered)2-4+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory managementExperience in a regulated industry such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing preferredProficiency in ERP or purchasing systems (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
