Grant Accountant

We are looking for an Accoutnant with nonprofit experience. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIESMaintain General Ledger in compliance with GAAP and assist in developing internal controls.Support CFO with financial reporting for government and private grants, ensuring compliance.Prepare routine revenue/expense reports and resolve discrepancies.Review monthly P&L reports and reconcile variances with department heads.Reconcile accounts and maintain fixed assets database.Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.Generate journal entries and assist with audit preparation.Support budget planning and implementation.Assist with insurance renewals and serve as backup for payroll and AP processing.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance required; CPA, MBA, or CMA a plus.5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in the non-profit sector.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Experience with grants management and compliance preferred.Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
