Days/ Year: Student contact days / 8 hours a day Level: Education Assistant - Level I to Level III (to be determined based on education and experience) Position Purpose: To provide assistance with specific learner poplulation or a more focused role with individual learners; provide support in classrooms under the direction of licensed staff. Major Job Functions: assist licensed teacher (to be assigned) with day-to-day instruction of sutdents, both individually and in small groups. perform other related duties as assigned supervise lunchroom and/or playground activities. Qualifications: 60 credits or completion of ParaPro Assessment. Experience working with elementary aged children in a structured setting Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as a team member. Ability to work effectively with diverse and "at-risk" students individually and in small work groups.
