Role: ITS Business Analyst Job Description: Facilitating analysis sessions Gathering and preparing business user requirements for system changes Analyzing and modeling requirements Creating test plans, test cases and test scripts to validate business requirements Testing and coordinating testing of new installations and upgrades Consulting with vendors and technical staff to ensure that functionality of automated system is consistent with adherence to laws, regulations, and best practice standards by users Assisting in the development of standards and procedures used in development of new or enhancement of existing systems Participating in the establishment of standards and procedures to be used in the development of systems Researching and analyzing system/user problems by applying a variety of analytical and research techniques Entry Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field Or Associate degree in a related field and two years of related experience Or Two years at the lower level or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: Researches and analyzes system/user problems by applying a variety of analytical and research techniques Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio. Experience using SharePoint as a repository for project documentation. Consults with vendors or technical staff to ensure that functionality of automated system is consistent with adherence to laws, regulations, and best practice standards by users Essential Qualifications: Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to appropriately address internal & external customer issues while respecting business needs and in relations to maintenance of systems Two years' experience Creation of test plans, test cases and test scripts to validate business requirements Two years' experience Gather and preparation of business requirements for system changes Two years' experience Test or coordinates testing of new installations and upgrades of an automated system Results Orientation: Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines to achieve performance goals Judgment and Decision Making: Demonstrated ability to weigh the needs of the taxpayers and the department to decide the best course of action for all parties, under general supervision Teamwork and Cooperation: Demonstrated ability to promote the team atmosphere, be inclusive of all team members, and work well with co-workers & leadership One-year experience manage multiple concurrent programs or initiatives Budget Information Critical Hire Code (Assigned by Approver) Background Verification (Suppliers shall use Info Cubic (IC) for background verifications.)
