With a worldwide reputation for excellence and sustainability, Egis and 10 Design together provide a compelling offer that encompasses building engineering services and architectural design.Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to join our San Francisco studio.Job DescriptionThe Senior Architectural Designer will be responsible for leading all design phases for architectural projects, establishing concepts, and leading project teams.What Will You do?Independently generate the conceptual design and/or master plan for projects and contribute to the development of project design direction.Develop and participate in design presentations & design charettes in the United States and abroad.Work collaboratively with the project team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail challenges.Lead coordination of project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure efficient execution of projects needsProvide leadership to contributing designers on project(s) and monitor project design development with the assistance of Project Manager or Managing PartnerReview design and technical drawing of junior designersReview project billings for consistency with contract terms and conditions with P.M. and accountingObtain formal approvals from clients & stakeholder teamsCoordinate and prepare project correspondence with assistance of Project Manager(s)Work with Marketing to pursue new business opportunitiesPrimary client liaison to bring the schedule and scope of work to completion to client satisfaction, within established project budgetMust be willing to travelIdeal candidates must be a collaborative and motivating leader, with in-depth technical knowledge and expertise in all phases of design with a desire to grow and mentor junior staff.QualificationsRequired Skills:Expert 3D Modeling skills (Rhino & SketchUp)Proficiency in rendering software (Enscape preferred, Vray, and Lumion will be considered)Proficiency with CAD/BIM documentation software (AutoCAD and Revit)Advanced knowledge of BIM or Parametric Design is an asset (Revit, Dynamo and Grasshopper)Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and OutlookProficiency in Adobe Create Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)Expert knowledge of space planning methodology and building systems for hospitality, mixed-use and multi-family project types.Ability to sketch and develop design ideas graphically (Diagramming by hand or digitally)Ability to discuss and communicate ideas with verbal and graphic clarityAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlinesExcellent communication and client presentation skillsAbility to work in a collaborative team environmentRequired Experience:A professional degree in Architecture (BArch/MArch)10+ years' of professional experience, preferably working on medium to large scale hospitality, mixed use and residential project typesArchitectural license (preferred) or is currently eligible to take the Architectural Registration ExamDomestic North America (USA) experience preferred; international experience will be considered.LEED Accredited Professional a preferredAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary with annual performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan.Paid time off (PTO), holidays, and flexible hybrid work model.9/80 work schedule with alternating 3-day weekends.Continuing education and professional development support.Collaborative studio culture with firm-wide impact potential.
