POSITION TITLE: Lull Telehandler Operator LOCATION: Baton Rouge, Louisiana PROJECT DURATION: This contracted position is tied to a specific five (5) to nine (9)-month project, with openings ranging from thirty-six (36) to forty-eight (48) months with the maintenance crew. Upon successful completion of the project, long-term opportunities within the organization may be considered for interested candidates. It has successfully accomplished this task while expanding its customer base and project capabilities to meet the demands of every conceivable challenge it has been contracted to complete.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES: The primary responsibility of this role is to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and organize materials within the yard, warehouse, or job site. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficiency, safety, and organization of equipment and inventory. Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Load, unload, and transport materials. Stack and organize materials in yard, warehouse, and jobsite. Inspect forklift equipment daily and report maintenance issues. Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance. Assist with inventory counts and material tracking. Ensure materials are secured properly for transport. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Adhere to OSHA and company safety regulations.Assist with general labor duties as needed on job sites.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Valid forklift certification, required. Experience operating a battery-powered pallet jack, a plus. Flagger certification or commitment to obtaining, required. Commitment to excellent customer service. Security clearance requirements may apply, depending on project and client needs. Ability to maintain an active state issued driver's license. JOB DEMANDS:Ability to sit, stand, walk, and navigate uneven terrain for extended periods of time. Frequent climbing of ladders and stairs. Tolerance for working outdoors in diverse weather conditions. Frequent crouching, bending, and kneeling as needed. Capacity to lift and carry materials weighing 50+ pounds.
