This is an hourly paid position.This role will pay an hourly rate of $21.00Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays)This position will remain open until April 17, 2026.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the field preparation for Concerts, Events, Soccer, NWSL game, MLS games, San Diego State Football, and other College Athletics.Organization and cleanliness of the grounds shop.Preparation for games and other stadium events.Field cleanup and repair following games.Safe Operation of grounds equipment.Set up and removal of grow and rain tarps.Ability to use focus on a speaker using verbal and non-verbal clues to understand their message, comprehend the information and respond thoughtfully.Creative and innovative; the ability to see alternatives and solutions.Ability to achieve planned objectives through completing relevant tasks and focus.Ability to work potential overnight field conversions & concerts.QualificationsThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:Follow explicit oral and written instructions; communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.Turfgrass knowledge & experience is preferredPrior field painting experience is preferred but not requiredAbility to obtain applicators licenseRemain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
