Civil Engineer

Job DescriptionSelectek is seeking a Civil Engineer for our partnering company in Orlando, Florida. Candidates in this role will work heavily in Civil3D. Employment Type: Direct HireLocation: Orlando, FLExpected Pay Range: $80000-$110000, based on certifications andexperienceSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a-5:00p. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering PE or EIT certification (or progress toward PE) preferred 5+ years of experience in civil site design and structural detailing Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including: Grading, Alignments, Profiles, Corridors, Feature Lines Surface modeling and volume calculations Working knowledge of structural analysis software Strong foundation in stormwater, drainage, and access road design Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks Familiarity with PV-Case is a plusIn addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.Job Duties:Civil Design & Drafting Prepare site development plans, grading plans, drainage maps, erosion control, and access road designs. Create and maintain Civil 3D drawings, including: Site Plans, Landscape Layouts Plans and Profiles, Cross Sections, General Notes, Detail Drawings Perform earthwork analysis including cut/fill volume calculations Develop model space layouts, surface modeling, and alignments based on project specs Ensure compliance with local codes, industry standards, and client requirementsStructural Design Assist in or perform the design of structural elements such as: Foundations (shallow, deep, pier, and pad), Equipment pads and retaining walls, Structural framing for utility components Conduct load calculations, sizing, and detailing using structural design software Ensure structural designs align with applicable codes and site conditionsProcess Improvement & Standards Support the development of CAD and engineering SOPs Contribute to refining workflows to improve project efficiency and accuracy Maintain organized design documentation and manage project filesCollaboration & Client Coordination Coordinate with Project Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers to meet project deadlines Coordinate with Project Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers to meet project deadlinesFor more information on this position or other openings around the southeast, call Joey Fairbanks with Selectek at 470.203.9530.
