Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Crimes Analyst II to join our Finance team. This mid-level role plays a key part in driving financial insights, supporting strategic decision‑making, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with a solid understanding of banking operations, financial modeling, and data interpretation. Key Responsibilities + Financial Reporting & Analysis + Prepare, analyze, and interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. + Perform variance analyses and identify key trends, risks, and opportunities affecting financial performance. + Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes. + Data Modeling & Forecasting + Develop and maintain complex financial models to support scenario planning, profitability analysis, and business cases. + Provide insights that guide strategic initiatives, cost optimization, and revenue growth. + Operational & Business Partner Support + Collaborate with business units to evaluate financial results, providing recommendations to improve performance. + Assist in assessing new products, pricing strategies, and process enhancements. + Regulatory & Compliance Support + Ensure financial reports meet internal controls and regulatory requirements. + Assist with internal and external audits as needed. + Process Improvement + Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting efficiency, and improve data accuracy. + Support implementation of new systems, tools, or reporting enhancements. Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree, degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice or related area and at least three years of BSA experience in a financial institution. + 2+ years of relevant finance or banking experience. + Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday Adaptive) preferred. + Solid understanding of financial statements, banking products, and analytical methodologies. + Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. + High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a strong sense of ownership. Preferred Skills + Experience in financial services or banking. + Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements. + Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field. - Minimum of three years of experience in a compliance-focused role within a financial institution. - Strong knowledge of financial crime investigations and regulatory reporting requirements. - Proficiency in business analysis techniques, including gap analysis and document review. - Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology and its application in business projects. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. - Exceptional communication skills to collaborate across departments and convey complex information clearly. - Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
