Vineyard Intern - Freestone

The job responsibilities as a vineyard intern will include:Vine cluster counts to assist with crop estimation Fruit maturity sampling and processing during harvestAssist with vineyard pest scouting (insect, fungal, & virus)Perform data entry and help to maintain data collected in the vineyard or from Vineyard employeesAssist Vineyard Team where neededLab experience preferredRequirementsStrong communication skills and be motivatedMust be able to endure rugged terrain with long outdoor exposureThe ability to work under minimum supervision, maintain accurate data records, and show initiativeA positive outlook and a sense of humorA valid driver's license, and clean DMV recordATV experience recommended, but not mandatoryBilingual skills (Spanish) are a major plus Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, pull 100 pounds at least 20 feet, stand for prolonged periods of time, climb ladders, stairs and catwalks, stoop, bend, lift overhead and kneel. You must be motivated to work hard, able to multi-task and to work long hours and weekends if needed. At least one harvest or previous cellar experience preferred, but not mandatory.Benefits$26/hr plus overtime (when applicable)
