If you're looking for a meaningful place to grow and make an impact, we want to hear from you!What You Will DoImprove Production PerformanceAnalyze manufacturing operations to improve cycle times, throughput, and equipment utilizationIdentify bottlenecks and implement improvements across stamping, tube bending, welding, and metal fabrication processesDevelop and track production metrics such as cycle time, OEE, and process capabilitySupport production teams with technical solutions that improve daily operational performanceIdentify and implement cost-saving opportunities related to materials, labor, and equipment efficiencyLead Process ImprovementsEvaluate existing production methods and implement improvements to increase process stability and repeatabilityLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing performance issuesDevelop standardized work instructions to improve consistency across shiftsDrive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesOptimize Plant Layout & WorkflowImprove plant layouts to enhance material flow, space utilization, and operator efficiencySupport line balancing, workstation design, and ergonomic improvementsReduce unnecessary motion, transportation, and material handlingAssist with facility expansion or production line reconfiguration projectsSupport Quality & ComplianceHelp maintain compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA quality standardsSupport efforts to reduce scrap, defects, and reworkPartner with quality teams to identify process-related root causesCollaborate Across TeamsWork closely with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teamsProvide technical guidance to support operational improvementsAssist with automation and manufacturing system enhancementsSupport plant leadership in achieving productivity and cost targetsWhat We're Looking ForExperienceBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred3-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environmentExperience in metal manufacturing processes such as stamping, tube bending, welding, or fabrication preferredExperience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments (automotive, transportation, or heavy manufacturing)Technical KnowledgeUnderstanding of cycle time, takt time, throughput, and OEEExperience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologiesAbility to analyze production data and translate insights into operational improvementsFamiliarity with manufacturing process capability and quality systemsProfessional SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to collaborate with operators, supervisors, and engineering teamsStrong communication skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into practical improvementsComfortable working in fast-paced manufacturing environmentsWhy Join UsHealth & Wellness: Affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, including an innovative global healthcare option for qualified participants.Retire: 401(k) with company match, fully vested from day one.Paid Time Off: Competitive PTO: 3 Weeks of Vacation + 9 company paid holidays.On-Site Medical Clinics: Free for you and covered dependents.Teladoc: 24/7 access with no copay.Professional Development: Tuition reimbursement, professional development assistance and career growth opportunities.Discounts: Enjoy discounts with HSM partners, including Dollywood Parks & Resort, Verizon Wireless, and more.EEOCAt HSM, we believe that our diversity creates a productive workplace.
