Banner Systems Analyst - RegistrarLocation: Columbia, MD (4-days/week, Friday remote)Contract Type: 6-month contract-to-hireOverview:The Business Systems Analyst - Registrar position delivers business system capability that ensures Institutional Support Services provides exceptional services. This role leverages resources and analytical/system development expertise to provide ISS colleagues and stakeholders with data, information, and insight presented in a way that enables informed decision-making. The Systems Analyst builds, maintains, and improves ISS business systems, taking a lead role in identifying improvement opportunities and leading projects for successful implementation and completion.Responsibilities:Leverage strong skills and expertise in business systems and/or analytics, specifically in the student and registrar modules, to lead functional/technical analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation of system enhancementsSupport ISS and multiple institutions, gaining expertise in registrar policies and setup for different institutionsFacilitate and promote collaboration with stakeholders to make systems and/or analytics/data tools adaptable for efficient and effective stakeholder interactionsCreate and ensure that all project/process plans, reports, dashboards, and updates clearly convey key information to stakeholdersManage multiple projects according to plan, monitor, assign work, follow up, and report progress to ensure timely deliveryProactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement to standardize, improve service, achieve consistency/compliance, and reduce rework while maintaining high levels of qualityPerform data validation and testing of new and existing Banner functionalities and technical solutions to satisfy business requirementsDevelop and document User Acceptance Testing processes and adhere to Process Change Controls required by Internal AuditPerform daily and scheduled production maintenance tasks and fulfill customer requests, ensuring SLAs are met and related business processes run smoothlyCoordinate with IT and other business partners to ensure all data integrations are running smoothly and that any issues are immediately identified and resolvedLead project tasks associated with the implementation or modification of a Student Finance systemProvide training and mentorship/guidance to fellow or less experienced analysts and provide constructive feedback for their personal development and growth within the organizationQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Business, Analytics, and/or Education3+ years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Systems and Analytics (or equivalent)Must have experience working with Ellucian Banner Student and Registrar modulesExpertise in understanding and analyzing business needs, designing solutions based on needs, and articulating business impactsExperience developing solutions through review of existing processes/reporting/configuration, incorporating business requirements, design, configuration/build, and user acceptance testingExperience in leading project/work teams, collaborating with IT, institutions, and all stakeholders to deliver high-quality and timely resultsExperience working in multiple Information Technology environmentsConsistently plans, designs, and executes high-quality advanced systems/analytics tools in addition to proactively leading complex work assignments and project teamsExpert understanding of business processes impacted by the business systems and/or analytical tools which this role supportsDetailed and process-oriented with demonstrated capabilities in business process design, modeling, and requirements analysis; ability to translate into detailed system requirements and specificationsRequired Skills : Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Business, Analytics, and/or Education a few years experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Systems and Analytics (or equivalent) Must have experience working with Ellucian Banner Student and Registrar modules Expertise in understanding and analyzing business needs, designing solutions based on needs, and articulating business impacts Experience developing solutions through review of existing processes/reporting/configuration, incorporating business requirements, design, configuration/build, and user acceptance testing Experience in leading project/work teams, collaborating with IT, institutions, and all stakeholders to deliver high-quality and timely results Experience working in multiple Information Technology environments Consistently plans, designs, and executes high-quality advanced systems/analytics tools in addition to proactively leading complex work assignments and project teams Expert understanding of business processes impacted by the business systems and/or analytical tools which this role supports Detailed and process-oriented with demonstrated capabilities in business process design, modeling, and requirements analysis; ability to translate into detailed system requirements and specifications Basic Qualification : Additional Skills : Background Check : Yes Drug Screen : No Notes :Selling points for candidate :Project Verification Info :"The information provided below is for Apex Systems AV use only and is not to be distributed publicly, or to any third party.
