Opening General Manager - Rooftop Bar & Kitchen We are seeking an operationally strong and revenue-driven Opening General Manager to lead the launch and ongoing performance of a cocktail-forward rooftop bar & kitchen in Charlotte's Steele Creek area. This is not a traditional GM role - the concept, positioning, and culinary direction are defined. The General Manager will execute within clear brand guardrails, building a high-performing team, ensuring operational consistency, and delivering disciplined financial results. The ideal candidate is both an operator and strategist: someone who thrives on building systems, coaching teams, driving revenue, and managing high-energy, event-driven environments. Position Summary The Opening General Manager will lead all front-of-house and overall operations with full P&L accountability. This leader must understand beverage-driven revenue models, event programming, and high-energy rooftop environments while maintaining tight labor controls and operational consistency. Key Responsibilities Pre-Opening Execution • Develop staffing models aligned with projected revenue and volume • Build training systems, operational standards, and service protocols • Partner with ownership to execute opening strategy • Establish operational systems for labor scheduling, inventory, and cost control Financial & Revenue Leadership • Own and deliver against revenue, labor percentage, and profitability targets • Drive beverage attachment rate and average check performance • Monitor sales mix and adjust execution strategies to meet goals • Optimize guest pacing, dwell time, and event flow Operations & Cost Discipline • Maintain labor targets through disciplined scheduling • Enforce operational standards and accountability • Partner with culinary leadership to ensure efficient service flow • Protect margins without compromising guest experience Programming & Sales Growth • Lead rooftop programming and activation calendar • Drive private event and buyout revenue • Build local partnerships to increase repeat traffic and brand visibility Team Leadership • Hire, develop, and hold management accountable • Build a performance-driven culture • Implement retention strategies and performance plans Qualifications• 5+ years progressive restaurant leadership • 2+ years as General Manager in full-service dining • Demonstrated P&L ownership and proven profitability results • Experience in beverage-driven, event-focused, or high-volume environments • Strong labor management and operational discipline • Opening experience strongly preferred • Ability to operate within a structured concept environment Benefits • Performance-Based Incentive Plan • Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance • 100% Employer-Paid Life Insurance • Voluntary Life & AD&D, STD, Accident & Critical Illness Insurance • 401(k) with Employer Contribution • Paid Time Off (PTO) • Employee Referral Program & Hotel Discounts • Career growth with an expanding hospitality group • Supportive and collaborative work environment
