Homebound Tutor (Part-Time/Hourly)

Position Type: Part-Time Teaching/Home-Hospital Instructor/TutorDate Posted: 1/2/2026Location: All District 4 SchoolsQualifications: Valid LBS1 teaching certificate Experience working with students with disabilities and IEPs preferred Knowledge of elementary curriculum standards and instructional best practices Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries in a home-based setting Responsibilities: Follow all district policies regarding confidentiality, safety, and professional conduct in a home setting. Ensure a supportive, structured, and positive learning environment. Deliver one-on-one instruction in core academic areas (e.g., reading, writing, math) as outlined in the student's IEP and teacher-provided lesson plans. Implement instructional strategies and accommodations specified in the IEP. Collaborate regularly with the student's general education teacher(s), special education staff, and related service providers. Maintain accurate records of instructional hours, student progress, and completed assignments. Provide feedback and progress updates to the supervising administrator and IEP team as required. Adapt instruction to meet the student's learning needs, attention level, and medical or emotional considerations.
