Passero Associates has an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Illustrator to join our growing Charlotte, NC office. You will be responsible for producing high-quality visual content that conveys design intent, atmosphere, materiality, and spatial experience for architectural and interior design projects. This role blends technical proficiency with artistic sensibility to create photorealistic still images, animations, virtual experiences, and presentation materials used for client communication, marketing, and design development.This position will be highly collaborative within the design team, with opportunities for direct communication and coordination with Owners and Clients on visual deliverables.ResponsibilitiesCreate photorealistic 3D renderings (interior and exterior) from drawings, CAD/BIM models, sketches, and design direction.Build detailed 3D models of buildings, environments, and objects.Produce animations, walkthroughs, and flythroughs for presentations and client reviews.Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure visual accuracy and alignment with design intent.Prepare polished presentation graphics for client meetings, interviews, competitions, and marketing deliverables.Generate watermarked imagery for titleblocks and presentation standards.Maintain and organize digital libraries of materials, textures, assets, and model components.Stay current with visualization tools, rendering engines, and emerging technologies.Utilize AI-assisted production tools (e.g., image generation, upscaling, post-processing) to support workflow efficiency and design iteration.Qualifications / ExperienceProficiency in 3D modeling/rendering tools such as Revit, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Blender, or Rhino.Experience with rendering engines such as V-Ray, Corona, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, or Unreal Engine.Strong ability to interpret architectural drawings and design documents.Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (post-processing, compositing, color correction, masking, image enhancement).Strong attention to detail, efficient organization, and ability to meet deadlines.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.Excellent visual communication skills, initiative, and a strong creative problem-solving approach.Willingness to communicate directly with Owners/Clients when needed.Preferred / Bonus Skills:Experience with Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Publisher for layout and graphic composition.Experience with VR/AR workflows or real-time rendering.Familiarity with BIM workflows (Revit, ArchiCAD).Growth & Opportunity:Passero Associates supports professional licensure, leadership development, and long-term career growth within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment spanning the firm's nine offices across six states.Offering Competitive Salary & Benefits Package.EOE/AA - Minority/Female/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disability/ Veteran.
