QA Automation Engineer

Description: Hybrid T, W, Th onsite in Austin, TX The QA Automation Engineer will support our client's commerce platform migration to Shopify. The role will focus on building and maintaining automated tests with Playwright and executing cross-browser validation with BrowserStack. The engineer will collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to accelerate feedback loops, improve release quality, and integrate testing within CI/CD pipelines.This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2Responsibilities: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and BrowserStack. Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for web applications. Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify and resolve defects. Implement test strategies aligned with CI/CD pipelines. Experience Requirements: Hands-on experience with Playwright, BrowserStack, or similar tools. Hands-on experience developing automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright, building automation test suites, and writing test code. Ability to make framework enhancements. Hands-on CI/CD pipeline automation. Familiarity with e-commerce workflows and payment systems. Agile testing practices (preferred). Shopify platform testing experience (preferred).
