Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join a reputable real-estate development company in Delray Beach, Florida. In this role, you will support the controller and take on responsibilities across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial management and reporting. Responsibilities: - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions. - Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing and reconciling financial statements. - Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate records across multiple entities. - Handle bookkeeping tasks and maintain organized financial documentation. - Generate financial statements and reports to support decision-making. - Monitor and apply accrual accounting principles to ensure compliance. - Collaborate with the controller to address financial discrepancies and improve processes. - Utilize Excel for financial analysis and data management. - Support property management accounting functions to align with industry standards. - Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting operations. Requirements - Bachelor's in accounting or related field - Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management. - Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping functions. - Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and practices. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. - Experience with month-end closing processes and generating financial statements. - Ability to manage multiple sets of books with accuracy and efficiency. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively within a team.
