E.K. SERVICES IS HIRING HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATORS! EK Services Inc. is seeking experienced operators for both our Service and Pipe Crews. E.K. Services, Inc. is a woman owned, full-service utility, excavating and paving construction contractor offering commercial and residential services throughout central Pennsylvania and beyond.Equipment Operator Job Summary:Heavy equipment includes Excavators, Back-hoes, Rubber Tire Wheel Loaders, Track Loaders, Track Dozers, Skid Steers. Operators must be comfortable digging around multiple existing utilities for installation of new/replacement underground utilities including water, sewer, storm drainage. Operator must be able to report any defects or unsafe conditions to foreman and properly complete all equipment logs including fuel logs. Eligible candidates will actively work with crew to meet company core values.Equipment Operators Duties and Responsibilities:Ensures company equipment is maintained and in good running condition by greasing and checking fluidsDemonstrates a working knowledge of all aspects of constructionMaintain all tools required for Equipment OperatorsKnowledge and ability to operate heavy equipmentOther duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:Work environment conditions consist of working in the sun, heat, cold, and water where the conditions could be dirty or dusty.Ability to climb on and off equipment safelyAbility to sit for long periods a day for several days in a rowThe ability to frequently lift 20 to 100lbs or moreAbility to work extended hours during construction season (OT is paid at time and a half)Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as requiredLicense/Certification Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of ageMust pass Drug ScreenDOT physical required upon hire Drivers' License & Acceptable Driving Record Company Mission Statement: We are dedicated to the continuous improvement of our community's infrastructure.
