DescriptionLB&B Associates Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Fuel Distribution Systems Operator (FDSO) for our contract to provide fuel support services at San Clemente Island, CA (Military Base).Working Schedule: Monday through Friday / 40 hours per weekHourly Pay Rate: $37.19 per hour. Effective 4/1/2026 hourly pay rate will be: $38.68 per hour per the collective bargaining agreement.Benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years' experience, and high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a CDL A with tanker and hazmat endorsements and a safe driving record. Responsibilities• Responsible for safe and timely set-up, monitoring and transfer of fuel movements during a specific shift assignment. Ensure through definitive methods that product meets or exceeds quality standards set forth; ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, contributing to a safe and efficient operation.• Perform Hot and Cold Refueling of aircraft in accordance with NAVAIR 00-T-109, i.e. Truck Cold Refueling and Pantograph Hot Refueling.• Spill cleanup, maintenance scheduling, hazardous waste, and fuel quality assurance operations.• Sample petroleum handling equipment and systems by various methods and means, from receipt to product issue.• Complete all assignments directed by the manager or supervisor in a safe, efficient, and timely manner as required by Company rules and regulations and all Federal, State and local laws.• Experienced in use of common fuel sampling equipment, aviation, ground fuel sampling procedures, and conducting laboratory tests of petroleum products.• Have a knowledge of automated tank gauging systems, high/low level alarms.• FDSO positions will be cross trained in all areas of fuels operations.Driver will perform safe and efficient operations of offloading procedures, and mobile distribution systems.Individual is responsible for safety and environmental compliance during offloading operations. Individual will operate in an environment with fluctuating workload based on the quantity of fuel required to satisfy SCI missions. Perform receipt, issue, storage, spill cleanup, maintenance scheduling, hazardous waste, and fuel quality assurance operationsPerform the full spectrum of quality assurance sampling and testing as may be required.• Sample petroleum handling equipment and systems by various methods and means, from receipt to product issue.• Perform operation, maintenance, and calibration of lab equipment, recordkeeping, and lab safety procedures.• Inspect, evaluate condition of, and maintain fuel storage tanks, pipelines, piping systems, product pump, filter, meter, gauge, and flow control mechanisms, and other petroleum system components.• Detect system malfunction/misalignment/leaks/adjustment issues, and perform scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance.• Complete all assignments directed by SCI Supervisor in a safe, efficient and timely manner as required by company rules and regulations and all Federal, State and local laws.• Have practical experience in operation of bulk fuel distribution systems and pipeline operations.• Experienced in use of common fuel sampling equipment, aviation and ground fuel sampling procedures, and conducting laboratory tests of petroleum products.• Trained in applicable regulations regarding petroleum handling equipment and systems.• Have a knowledge of automated tank gauging systems, high/low level alarms, and cathodic protection system.The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
