We also offer Crystal Hypochlorite, which through a series of special filtering steps, produces a bleach solution of extraordinary quality.Key duties will include loading/unloading trucks, railcars and barges with a variety of chemical products. Chemical operators will run a small batch manufacturing operation within the terminal. Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):Load and unload barges, tank cars and tank trucks with a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.Running a small batch manufacturing process.Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork associated with the manufacturing/unloading/loading operations.Contribute to safety and quality meetings.Identify maintenance work and work with the Terminal or Manufacturing Supervisors to facilitate repairs as necessary.Perform incidental maintenance work on equipment as needed.Perform minor maintenance work on buildings and property as needed.General housekeeping of work area and other misc. duties as necessary.Minimum Qualifications RequiredCompleted High School degree0-4 Years of chemical manufacturing and/or distribution experience1-5 Years of manufacturing or other heavy industrial experienceMust be able to read/write/speak EnglishMust be proficient in basic mathematicsMust be able to pass a position based physical fitness testOther Preferred Knowledge/ExperienceExperience with driving OTR trucks either on the road or in a plant environmentExperience with Safety and/or Quality programsExperience handling Chlor-Alkali, flammable/combustible, petroleum or other hazardous materialsPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentRequires lifting and handling of heavy objects; must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.Ability to push, pull, sit, stand, crouch, reach, and have visual acuityAbility to climb ladders and storage tank stairs (approx. 50' in height) for maintenance, inspection, and gauging operationsWork outdoors in adverse weather conditionsAble to run & help maintain process equipmentAble to wear PPE (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, respirator and safety work boots) as required
