Project Environmental Scientist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Project Environmental Scientist to manage environmental investigation and remediation projects. The role involves performing complex analyses within broader engineering and environmental contexts, supervising field activities, and ensuring accurate interpretation of findings. You will manage and deliver on multiple projects within specified budgets and schedules while organizing and editing proposals, reports, and other documents. Responsibilities + Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects. + Perform complex analyses for engineering and environmental projects. + Supervise field activities and ensure correct interpretations of findings. + Manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets and schedules. + Organize, write, and edit draft proposals, reports, and other documents. + Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients. + Develop additional work within existing projects. + Attend business development meetings with new and existing clients. + Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff. + Coach, train, and motivate staff assigned to Environmental projects. + Participate in interviewing and hiring staff. + Coordinate work groups across office locations and disciplines as needed. + Interface effectively and professionally with clients, contractors, and staff. + Perform other duties as requested. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering. + 7-10 years of related work experience. + Proficiency in environmental due diligence. + Experience managing remediation projects from start to finish. + Hazwoper training. + Understanding of NJ and PA regulatory requirements. + Experience in site recovery, hazardous waste investigation, soil and groundwater investigations, remediation, and industrial/brownfield site redevelopment. Work Environment This position offers a hybrid work environment, primarily based in the office with the flexibility to work from home two days a week. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $123000.00/yr. full-time employment company paid medical, dental, and vision coverage; life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, and paid pregnancy disability leave; 401(k)/Roth with company match; paid time off including parental and military leave; employee referral and professional license bonuses; and educational reimbursement.
