Staff Accountant

Now hiring Staff Accountant | Direct Hire Vista, CA Pay Rate: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour | Depending on Experience Shift: Monday - Friday Accountant Wanted. Precision Expected. We're looking for a Staff Accountant in Vista who knows accounting beyond the basics and takes ownership of the numbers. Solid work. Real responsibility. A good fit for an accountant who values accuracy, structure, and getting it right. What's Required High school diploma or GED required 3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) Experience with accounting software systems ; Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to maintain confidential financial information Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Experience with Dynamics Great Plains Knowledge of IFRS and revenue recognition standards What You'll Do Prepare and post journal entries for routine and adjusting transactions Perform monthly account reconciliations including bank, balance sheet, and income statement accounts Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation Prepare financial statement schedules and reports Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and responses to inquiries Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Assist with tax filings , including sales tax, property tax, and related documentation Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting operations What You Get for Doing It Right - Benefits Challenging, exciting work environment.
