Site Safety & Health Officer - Secure Federal Medical Facility ConstructionJob OverviewCompany: Semper Tek Inc.Salary/Pay Rate: $100,000 - $125,000 per year plus Performance and Year-End Bonuses.Location: Lexington, KY (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Facility).Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.Schedule: Monday - Friday, Weekends, and Overtime as required.Project Scope: Mid-size Federal / Healthcare Construction (VA Medical Centers).Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: OSHA 30 Hour, First Aid/CPR Certified.The Opportunity You will serve as the dedicated safety and quality authority for mid-sized federal medical projects, ensuring every person on site returns home safely. Your oversight will be the backbone of our commitment to delivering "big business" caliber results with a focus on human life.How You Will Make an ImpactOversee all site safety and quality control efforts to ensure total adherence to project documents, EM 385-1-1 regulations, and OSHA standards.Execute daily safety inspections and audits to maintain a zero-incident workplace while supporting STI's comprehensive Safety Program.Coordinate with trade partners and field teams to plan and set up efficient, safe, and orderly jobsite layouts.Implement strict ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) standards to protect sensitive medical environments during active construction.Conduct weekly subtrade meetings to organize work activities and ensure all personnel are educated on site-specific safety practices.Monitor project flow and critical path activities to identify and solve field issues before they impact the schedule or safety integrity.Verify that all incoming materials match approved submittals to maintain the highest quality control and life safety standards.Required Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of construction safety experience, with a focus on autonomous project management.Direct experience managing safety on federal projects, including a working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 standards.Proven ability to read, analyze, and interpret federal contract documents and technical procedure manuals.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite for maintaining detailed daily logs and incident reporting.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects within a live client campus.Preferred Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or Civil Engineering.Specific experience managing safety for U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or healthcare-specific construction.Advanced proficiency in Procore and a solid understanding of Primavera P6 scheduling.Knowledge of 3-phase control protocols and specialized medical facility safety requirements.Compensation & BenefitsComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.Retirement Savings Program and Health Savings Account (HSA).Paid Time Off including Holidays, Vacation, and Sick Leave.Weekly Pay Cycle with prevailing wage project opportunities.Monthly Vehicle Allowance, company credit card for fuel, and mileage reimbursement.Tech Package (smartphone or tablet) and monthly cell phone stipend.Travel support including housing allowance for assignments over 75 miles from home.Career development through paid training, certifications, and mentorship.About Us Semper Tek Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that prides itself on delivering high-quality federal construction on time and within budget.
