Position Summary: The Wood Furniture Construction Specialist position performs all tasks involved within their assigned department. The use of various woodworking tools, methods and blueprints are required to build furniture products that meet specifications for Nucraft branded furniture. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Use of various woodworking tools including hand routers, table saw, drill press and clamps * Read part prints and execute the operations to create the part * Assemble individual components into full assembly * Wrap structures in surface materials such as veneer or laminate * Work with team members in the area to accomplish a daily plan * Notify supervisor of any safety mechanical or material issues or scrap and rework. * Maintain a clean and safe work area. Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position. Qualifications: * Thoroughness * Teamwork orientation * Time management * Technical Capacity Education/Experience: * 3 - 5 years Woodworking experience. * High school diploma Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Hearing protection and mask or respirators are provided for where required. Computer Skills: Some machines require basic computer skills. Expected Hours: * This is 1st shift, full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Thurs 9 hours and Friday 4 hours. * Overtime is expected when posted in advance. Physical Requirements: * The physical demands described here are representative of those who must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
