Protect What Matters.Western Health Advantage is seeking a Staff Attorney to provide legal guidance across a range of areas including regulatory, privacy, employment, and contract matters. In this role, you will partner with internal teams to analyze legal issues, identify practical solutions, and proactively address risk.This is an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization where your expertise supports ethical decision-making, regulatory compliance, and business strategy.What You'll DoProvide legal advice on regulatory, business, employment, privacy, and contract mattersDraft, review, and revise contracts, notices, disclosures, and other legal documentsSupport the development of strategies to identify and mitigate legal and compliance risksCollaborate with internal stakeholders and interact with outside counsel as neededRepresent WHA in regulatory matters and assist with submissionsParticipate in internal and external committees, meetings, and presentationsEnsure alignment with WHA's Privacy and Information Security programsPromote compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirementsMaintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in accordance with California State Bar guidelinesPerform other duties and special projects as assignedWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in a related disciplineActive membership in the California State Bar3 years of experience as a practicing attorney preferredExperience in managed care, health plans, or healthcare strongly preferredStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teamsProficiency with standard business applicationsWestern Health Advantage is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants for employment on the basis of merit and without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, ancestry, military or veteran status, or any other basis made unlawful by federal or state law.
