Job Description and Duties GUIDE II, HISTORICAL MONUMENT (SUPERVISOR)- CAPITAL DISTRICT / MUSEUMS / OLD SACRAMENTO STATE HISTORIC PARK The reporting location for this position is the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, California. This position will work under the under the direction of the State Park Interpreter III. The Guide II Supervisor schedules and supervises the visitor services staff at the California State Railroad Museum, including Guides, Park Aides, All Aboard Desk staff, and Docents. Coordinates ticketing and fee collection, daily opening/closing of facilities, VIP tours, tour and program reservations, school program development and delivery, and special event coverage. Member of the Museum's management team and works closely with the Volunteer Coordinator as well as administrative, interpretive, curatorial, exhibit, and maintenance staff. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment. Occasional travel may be required. Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle. This position is designated as not telework eligible. State housing is not available.
