This position provides oversight, direction, and supervision of safety and security matters related to the public by performing the duties listed below.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Serves as liaison with Police, security, medical services and front of house staff in all matters involving event safety, security and traffic controlAssists in coordination of third-party security staff, to ensure appropriate coverageResponsible for responding to and properly documenting guest related incidents and/or injuriesDemonstrates excellent customer service skills; responds promptly to customer needs and requests for service and/or assistanceEfficiently and courteously provides guidance to guests and staff concerning event safety and securityCompletes various records and reportsPerforms other related duties as assigned by venue managementQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Excellent organizational skills requiredGood written, verbal, and interpersonal skills requiredAbility to interact with all levels of staff including managementProfessional presentation, appearance, and work ethicAbility to operate a computer terminal and printerDependable team playerEnthusiastic self-starterAbility to learn new skillsSubject to credit and background screeningEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Minimum of five years of responsible experience in security or law enforcement and a focus on security and safetyPolice and/or law enforcement background strongly preferredSKILLS AND ABILITIES Experience and understanding of the principles, tactics, and procedures related to the management of security and safety services in a public assembly environmentWork independently and able to exercise judgement and initiativeHave excellent communication, listening, problem solving, and organizational skillsAble to understand, speak, read, and write EnglishAble to interact with guests, vendors, and staff in a friendly, courteous, and polite mannerAble to operate two-way radio equipmentWORKING CONDITIONSLocation: Onsite at Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, FLPHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
