What You will Receive as a CNC Machinist I:Pay: $28.20 + (Depending on Experience)Shift: Weekend, Fri-Sun, 5 am - 5:30 pm, + 11% shift differentialDirect HireLocated in Newberg, OregonWhat You will Be Doing as a CNC Machinist I:Operates various secondary, manual machinery, CNC Machinery and performs activities within assigned area with moderate supervision (CNC Lathes, Vertical CNC Mills, CNC Brakes)Set up, operate, and troubleshoot various manual and CNC machines, secondary machinery, and polishing equipment.Performs routine maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning.Safely and efficiently routes parts using material handling equipment.Inspects personal production, to achieve and maintain quality standards and may make recommendations for improvement.Actively engages and participates in department continuous improvement efforts. Implements improvements to processes, programs, tooling, and fixturing.Works collaboratively within the team to maintain a neat and organized work station.Achieves and maintains productivity standards, follows all safety guidelines, and maintains acceptable dependability level.Understands and completes documentation needed to comply with policies and procedures that are appropriate for the positionFollows safety guidelines, must not pose a risk to self or others, identifies potential safety hazards and initiates corrective action when necessary.Actively participates in all department, quarterly, and company meetings.Other duties as assigned (refer to the job family and skills matrix).What You will Need to Have as a CNC Machinist: IMust have at least 1-3 years of experience in machine operation Must have experience in setting up and operating CNC Lathes and Mills (Fadal's, Mori Seiki DV5100, and DMG Mori NLX)Previous experience in operating press brake is a plusMust have experience working with Stainless Steel materialsAbility to interpret blueprints with a working knowledge of GD&TStrong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and finger dexterityKnowledge of ISO procedures.Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.Ability to perform math calculations with an understanding of decimal/fraction equivalence, geometry, and trigonometry.Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise maneuver up to 35 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.Able to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift.Knowledge of all tooling and material types used during production, including uncommon and unconventional tools, with the ability to alter tools to achieve desired results.Moderate computer skills and ability to learn and understand ERP systemsDemonstrates behaviors and attitudes that emphasize and focus on permanent resolutions to problems and collaboratively work with other employees within work group to achieve goalsSome areas may be exposed to chemicals, noise, vibration, and/or dust, requiring the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, foot protection, etc.Ability to wear respiratory protection and comply with OSHA's respirator use requirements.Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug testSubscribe, Follow, Like, Tweet Us! #nextaffpdxBy submitting your information with us, you consent to receive electronic communications through methods such as Email and Text (SMS).
