Mechanic

JP Services is looking for a Mechanic to join the team. As a Mechanic, you will perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of construction equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment and troubleshooting. Mechanic Essential & Non-Essential Job Responsibilities * Work out of the shop on equipment repairs and maintenance * Conduct equipment functionality, use, and safety tests * Travel to customer job sites to perform mechanic duties as needed * Daily utilization of computer applications and programs for service documentation * Accurately order needed parts from vendors Mechanic Required Competencies - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Highly developed mechanical background with various construction equipment, including aerial and dirt equipment * Advanced understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams * Extensive experience working on hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines * Experience with air cooled, or smaller engines * Experience with centrifugal and positive displacement pumps * Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Have the drive to do whatever is needed to get the job done * Exhibit strong teamwork and being a part of a greater goal * Ability to give and take feedback or critique Mechanic Experience Requirements * Experience as a technician, repairing and maintaining heavy duty machinery, preferably construction equipment * Own tools required to perform job * Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Mechanic Working Condition/Physical Requirements * Work environment is consistent with that of construction equipment yard and repair shop, and occasional travel to job sites * Safety training and PPE is required * Occasional lifting up to 100 lbs * Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping This role profile is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
