Site Safety Officer

Job Title: Site Safety Officer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Site Safety Officer to oversee site safety and manage client reporting at a major expansion project. This role is ideal for individuals with a construction background and at least five years of experience, who can grasp basic safety requirements and aspire to advance within the company. Responsibilities + Oversee site safety at the expansion project. + Report safety findings and updates to the client. + Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. + Work effectively with various vendors and subcontractors to maintain a safe work environment. Essential Skills + At least 5 years of experience in construction-related roles. + Understanding of basic safety requirements. + OSHA 30 certification. + Strong communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in site safety within the construction industry. + Ability to work well with diverse teams. + Willingness to obtain additional certifications as needed. Work Environment The position is based in North Charleston, with a start time of 5:30 AM. The initial contract is approximately six months, with potential for extension based on project developments. This is an entry-level opportunity on a significant project, offering great potential for career growth and long-term advancement. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
