The incumbent also promotes the studio and works to integrate the individuals supported with the local community. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed.Essential Duties and FunctionsArt InstructionGuides artists in art processes, while teaching materials and technique skills. Participates in the creation and development of a curriculum aimed at the education and enrichment of persons served. Teaches art making and vocational skills. Individual Support and Community Integration Works individually, as needed, with individuals served in the removal of barriers to learning and in the enhancement of participation in services. Support individuals in the community based on individual service outcomes and frequency and duration as described in the individual service plan. Acts as part of a multidisciplinary team with the goal of providing services that are holistic and values based. Meets, as needed, with the collateral support of the individuals served to provide services in concert with other life goals. Develops volunteers working in the studio. AdministrationWorks with the team to create functional aspects of day-to-day processes, as well as attends staff meetings and bi-annual in-service training.Completes all required clinical and administrative documentation in a timely manner to support current and ongoing services. Tracks daily attendance and manages the grouping of staff to facilitate classes and provide support relating to special projects. Collaborates and oversees efficient organization of the studio, classes, supplies and storage, including managing the art studio materials and create inventories, when needed. Assures the health and safety aspects of studio activity and reports health and safety incidents immediately to the supervisor.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's Degree, plus 1 year of related experience in an art discipline OR High School Diploma / GED equivalency, plus 3 years of studio practice, including 1 year of related experience in an art discipline.
