University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: Academic Center: Office for Academic Excellence **Salary Range or Pay Grade** See description **Description** The Associate Vice Provost for Academic Honesty Education & Outreach will work closely with the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Excellence, and provides leadership for education, training, outreach, and policy alignment related to academic honesty. This role partners with faculty, graduate instructors, students, and academic units to promote a proactive, educational approach to integrity through trainings, orientations, curriculum support, outreach initiatives, data-informed practice, and policy development. The role works closely with the Board on Academic Honesty and other academic integrity administrative partners to ensure consistent, equitable, and evolving academic honesty practices, including engagement with emerging issues such as AI in teaching and research. This position is part-time (50%) and involves year-round (12-month) administrative commitments. Summer salary support will be provided. _Job Duties & Responsibilities:_ Education & Training - Design, deliver, and assess academic honesty trainings for students, graduate instructors, TAs, tutors, faculty and staff. - Lead TA and tutor training initiatives and develop scalable training materials. - Support student education through orientations, seminars, and targeted workshops. - Create and implement a new Academic Honesty Seminar to replace the outsourced Academic Integrity seminar. - Provide specialized training and support in collaboration with the Board on Academic Honesty. Outreach and Communications - Plan and participate in outreach and PR campaigns, including roadshows, tabling events, departmental visits, and orientation programming. - Serve as a visible campus resource through sustained engagement with departments and schools. - Interface with schools and units to ensure consistent messaging and practices. Curriculum & Instructional Support - Assist instructors in updating assignments, curricula, and syllabi to align with Academic Honesty policy. - Advise on classroom-level policies, preventative interventions, and effective instructional practices. - Support initiatives such as the restorative _Developing Integrity in Academic Life_ course (or its successor) as the program evolves. Policy, Governance & Liaison Work - Work closely with the Chair of the Board on Academic Honesty. - Manage the Academic Honesty Liaisons and support complex student consultations. - Collaborate with school leaders on policy revisions and website updates. - Shape and propose policy modification recommendations. Assessment, Research & Trends - Monitor and communicate emerging trends in academic honesty research. - Analyze internal and external data on case volume and trends. - Participate in institutional initiatives such as the AI in Research Committee. **Qualifications** Qualified candidates will have: -Existing Faculty appointment within the University of Rochester -Familiarity with the Board on Academic Honesty, academic honesty policy -Collaborative approach -Ability to work with a wide variety of University constituents, including faculty, students, staff and administrators. -Eagerness to champion academic honesty policy and education -Tenure-track or instructional track faculty are eligible to apply -At least four years required of progressively responsible experience in teaching and learning, preferably at Rochester. **Application Instructions** For best consideration, submit a letter of interest and CV by April 17.
