POSITION TITLE: Project Management Specialist (Journeyman)CLIENT: USCIS, Verification Division (VER) & Field Operations Directorate (FOD)CONTRACT: BPIMSS - OASIS+ SDVOSB Task Order | Camp Springs, MD (Hybrid)CLEARANCE: DHS Public Trust suitability (SF-85P); US Citizenship requiredCOMPENSATION: $105,000 - $150,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)ABOUT THE ROLEYou will support the Program Management SME and business teams by directing day-to-day project execution across VER and FOD initiatives. You bring 3-10 years of federal project management experience and are adept at applying both PMI PMBOK and Agile methodologies to deliver results in complex, matrixed government environments. You will own project artifacts, coordinate with stakeholders and technical teams, track delivery milestones, and proactively identify and resolve risks and issues.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Develop, maintain, and update project plans, schedules, milestones, and performance baselines• Apply Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) to manage sprint cycles, backlog prioritization, and retrospectives• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to remove obstacles and maintain project momentum• Monitor and report project health through monthly status reports and executive dashboards• Maintain project risk registers, issue logs, and decision logs with version control• Support development coordination, operational readiness, and post-deployment evaluation activities• Facilitate project meetings (kickoffs, status calls, retrospectives, lessons learned sessions)• Assist with GFP accountability, subcontractor coordination, and task order administrative requirements• Support preparation of CPARS reporting data and contract deliverablesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Public Administration, or related field• 3-10 years of project management experience in a federal program environment• Active PMP, CSM (Certified Scrum Master), CSPO, or equivalent certification• Demonstrated experience with Agile project delivery in a government setting• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief senior government officials• US Citizenship required; ability to obtain DHS Public Trust suitability• Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or similar PM/Agile toolsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Prior USCIS or DHS program experience• SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification• Familiarity with immigration policy and USCIS operational workflows• FAC-P/PM certificationWORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid - Camp Springs, MD / Remote per USCIS telework policy.
