Serving as the intersection between data and instruction, the School Improvement and Testing Coordinator provides administrators and teachers with actionable data and information to drive student achievement. This role reports to the Oxford Virtual Academy Administration Team and requires the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for staff and the community while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and compliance.Qualifications - Education & Experience:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required; degree in Education preferred.Valid Michigan teaching certificate, preferred.Experience in the K-12 education environment is required, preferably in multiple capacities, including virtual education, assessment coordination, and school data management.Must be familiar with and possess the ability to work in various areas of technology, specifically PowerSchool, EduClimber, WIDA AMS, and advanced spreadsheet functions (XLOOKUP, AI tools).Experience in leading the school improvement process (MICIP) and state testing coordination.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others, including the ability to explain complex data and technical testing procedures to non-technical staff and families.Ability to advise and motivate staff within teams to achieve results.Ability to monitor processes and provide constructive feedback, managing long-term cycles alongside immediate deadlines.Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.Ability to implement effective practices and procedures and monitoring systems to ensure information is maintained with high integrity of accuracy and timeliness.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Assessment Coordination & Administration:Serve as the primary Test Coordinator or Co-coordinator for M-STEP, PSAT/SAT, WIN, and WIDA, managing all aspects of the testing window (rostering, scheduling, secure material handling) in adherence to OEAA guidelines.Develop comprehensive testing calendars and facilitate training sessions for staff proctors to ensure compliance with state regulations.Oversee the implementation, data collection, and analysis of local secondary benchmark assessments (e.g., Star, Freckle).Collaborate with the District EL Coordinator to identify incoming English Learners and administer off-site WIDA screening and annual testing (requires local travel).Data Management & ReportingSynthesize data from multiple sources (PowerSchool, EduClimber, College Board, MiSchool Data) to identify trends, gaps, and areas for growth.Utilize advanced spreadsheet functions and AI tools to merge datasets (e.g., linking site locations to test scores), generate complex formulas, and create custom technical reports for administration and instructional leadership teams.Create clear, visual data presentations to support the School Improvement Team, administration, and teaching staff in understanding student performance.Maintain administrator-level access and data integrity for key platforms including Renaissance Learning, EduClimber, WIDA AMS, and College Board.School Improvement (MICIP) & ComplianceFacilitate the continuous improvement process by organizing data for the School Improvement Team, monitoring progress toward MICIP goals, and managing evidence/artifacts.Monitor school designations (e.g., ATS status) and ensure all state reporting requirements related to assessment and school improvement are met on time.Collaborate with Instructional Coaches and PLC Leaders to integrate data analysis into meetings and teacher growth plans.Gather salient data points to produce meaningful summaries and action plans that align with the district vision and strategic plan.Designing professional development to support school improvement.Providing support for the administration team as required.Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance.Support the Oxford Community Schools' vision and mission.Perform other duties as required.Disqualifications per the College Board:The AP Coordinator/PSAT/SAT Coordinator cannot:Have an immediate family or household member taking an AP Exam/PSAT/SAT at OVA or any other school.Be employed at a test preparation company.Participate in any coaching activity that addresses the content of the College Board tests.Be the AP Coordinator in the year they are an AP Teacher.Reports to: Oxford Virtual Academy Building AdministratorsSalary Range: starting at $78,066; commensurate with education and experience.Benefits: Oxford Community Schools provides company paid coverage for dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, employee assistance program, sick and vacation days.
