Job Title: Manager IT Department: Information Technology Reports to: Director IT FLSA Designation: Exempt License Type: Key Essential Job Functions: * Manages IT Staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance * Manages the Helpdesk system prioritizing and ensuring tickets are worked on and closed in a timely manner * Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services * Develops and implements policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup. * Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs * Coordinates activities of hardware, software, telecommunications, support, and training with vendors * Installs and tests software upgrades * Develops and implements disaster recovery procedures * Consults with software and hardware vendors and other establishment workers to solve problems impeding computer processing * Meets with IT staff to determine impact of proposed changes in hardware or software on computer operations and service to users * Evaluates new software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with existing software and hardware * Evaluates proposed IT projects to assess adequacy of existing hardware, and recommends purchase of equipment * Develops budget and monitors expenditures * Works with AV team members to help assist and maintain AV systems throughout the property * Assists with research and development of emerging technologies and applications in the AV industry * Approves changes in system access * Performs other duties as requested or assigned Qualifications: * Must be 21 years of age or older * Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent preferred * Three or more years related experience * Strong critical thinking and decision making skills * Project management skills and strong ability to prioritize * Knowledge of database software required and casino systems preferred * Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays * Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing Physical and Mental Demands: * Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel * Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds * Able to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor * Exposure and high noise level
