Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Materials Handler who ensures proper and timely flow of all materials and products from arrival until stored or shipped, following established policies and procedures. Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, while following policies, procedures and safety regulations.About AC: Come and join the Applied Composites team. If you are looking for a company that values and develops its employees while offering engaging work, Applied Composites may be the place for you.Job Accountabilities:Receives, stocks, and disburses parts or materials, loads or unloads trucks, and disburses parts, materials and supplies to other team members as requiredUnpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoicesMaintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory itemsExamines stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing linesPrepares and maintains records of merchandise shippedDemonstrates all safety policies and proceduresPosts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipmentDemonstrates all safety policies and proceduresIdentifying and proper disposal of scrapped and expired materials following established work instructionsInvestigation of and recommending corrections in data deviations between the inventory system and WIPManages disposal of hazardous materials (solvents) and hazardous waste (used solvents) following safety proceduresOperates forklift (certified) Supports the Facilities function as neededOther responsibilities as assignedJob Specifications: Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectationsYears' Experience: 2 (plus) years of relevant experienceSkills:Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability tonegotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audiencePossesses a high level of ethical behavior in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significanceStrong logical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
