Photonics Test Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * In charge of integrated optical photonics chip test systems, test procedures and automation test program development * Generate test plans, procedures, and work instructions * Setup and configure test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation as required by the test plans and or test standards * Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data results through thorough documentation processes * Operate a variety of computer automated and manual test equipment including fiber optic data acquisition systems, fiber auto alignment systems * Write software for auto alignment system and automation test. * Test system troubleshooting * Write test reports * Data analysis * Sourcing, obtaining quotations, and selecting required lab supplies and materials for R&D testing * Design test fixtures base on test requirements, test plan, and test standards * Validate test methods Requirements * Master's Degree in an engineering discipline (optical, physics, or electrical desired) * >5 years' experience in a fiber optical testing environment and working with/testing of integrated optical chips and components * Familiar with software products which include: PYTHON, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or other similar software * Demonstrated familiarity with data acquisition systems, data analysis and processing. * Ability to maintain excellence and accuracy in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. * Must work well in a team environment
