Operations Engineer

Job DescriptionCSI Recruiting is working with a Fort Worth-based upstream oil & gas company on their need to hire an experienced Operations Engineer to focus on domestic, onshore assets.The Operations Engineer oversees the daily operation of wells, including constant monitoring of well performance, planning, and supervising workover operations to maximize recovery and optimizing artificial-lift and pipe flow systems. Responsible for the design and implementation of well completions and surface production facilities. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze, interpret, and optimize the performance of individual wellsDetermine the most efficient means to develop the field, considering the viscosity of the crude oil, the gas-to-oil ratio, the depth and type of formation, and the project economicsIdentify wells for production enhancementsMaximize the daily production and ultimate recovery of producing properties through optimum operational proceduresCommunicate frequently and effectively with field personnelTravel to the field and oversee large-scale projectsPerform open hole and cased hole log evaluationRecommend wells for recompletion or abandonmentResponsible for cost containment and regulatory complianceExplore additional technologies to enhance production from wells in declineWork closely with Reservoir Engineers and Geologists to determine the optimal approach for a particular fieldCoordinate all phases of completion and workover operationsOversee State, Federal, and Environmental ComplianceRequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering3-8 years of Operations Engineering experience preferredExperience in rod pump artificial lift operations preferred (Rodstar, XSPOC, Petra, Prodview, etc.)Experience in horizontal frac and refrac operations is a plusExperience in horizontal wellbore cleanout operations is a plus.Knowledge of petroleum engineering operations and production methods for oil and natural gas recoveryDetail-oriented and highly organized with an ability to manage information, time, and prioritize tasks to maximum efficiencyMust be able to multitask and work independently to achieve critical deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skills
