Job Type Full-timeDescriptionSUMMARYThe estimating team is an integral part of Hatteras' overall business. We are passionate about building our team and welcome enthusiastic, dynamic, and professional individuals who share in our commitment to provide world class print solutions for leading brands. The primary role is to develop estimates by determining the most economical method of manufacturing while considering production capacity of the plant.RESPONSIBILITIESReview and analyze customer supplied specificationsProvide guidance and support to Sales and Customer Service clarifying specifications for specific projects Have working knowledge of all methods available for producing a job and provide quotes based on the most economical methodEngineer the best estimate based on the supplied specifications with the necessary time, cost, material, and labor required for production in a timely mannerRevise estimates as needed due to specification changesConsult sales, vendors, and department managers to discuss and formulate estimates and provide solutions to our customersDevelop knowledge of materials available and recommend cost saving opportunitiesAssure quality standards are met prior to presenting a quote to Sales or Customer ServiceRequirementsREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor's or Associate's Degree in related field or equivalent work experienceAbility to work well under tight deadlines for projects of various sizes and scopesPositive "can do" customer focused and attitudeAbility to communicate effectively with department managers and supervisorsFamiliarity with all printing equipment and equipment's respective running speeds and most efficient methods for producing any possible jobMust be able to compute standard costs when the desired figures are not available; determine the quantity of paper, ink and plates required to complete each jobPace MIS system experience is a plus.Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with company match, and other voluntary benefits offeredEqual Opportunity Employer Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity in our workforce.
