Office Engineer

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an Office Engineer to join our team in the NYC Metro area. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction inspection or preferably management on infrastructure construction projects.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Track quality assurance and certification paperworkMaintain RFI, Submittal, and Change order logsCoordinate issue resolution with RE, and Design PersonnelPerform duties involving requirements to provide Document Control Services including maintenance of project files on project PMISPerform engineering calculations related to quantities and paymentsWork in a team environmentProofread inspection reportsPrepare Change OrdersReview and process monthly construction estimates and paymentsAbility to effectively communicate with contractor, client, and project CM staff. Perform other duties as requested by Assistant Resident Engineer/Resident EngineerQualifications/Skills Required:5+ years' experienceBS Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited college.Strong written, oral, communication, organization skills required.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and related PC software packages used on design and construction projectsWe provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid life insurance, 401k employer contribution (after 1 year of service), performance bonus, comprehensive family medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, holidays, short-term and long-term disability, paid parental leave (after 1 year of service), employee assistance and wellness programs.
