You will be part of a team of stellar educators building a top performing K-8 school.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Content Planning & InstructionPrepare, internalize, and deliver a rigorous, standards-aligned scripted curriculum Use scholar work and assessment data to inform instruction and target interventionEngage in weekly coaching meetings to deepen content expertise and develop instructional masteryGeneral Curriculum:ELA Curriculum: Core Knowledge Language Arts K-4; Novel Education Partners 5-8Math Curriculum: Achievement FirstSocial Studies Curriculum: GallopadeScience Curriculum: McGraw Hill Grade Level StructureKindergarten - 3rd Grade: Self-contained with two lead teachers4th - 8th Grade: 2 ELA teachers, 2 Math teachers, 1 Science teacher, 1 Social Studies teacherKindergarten - 4th Grade = Elementary School5th Grade - 8th Grade = Middle SchoolFamily EngagementProvide families with guidance and resources around helping their scholar with their schoolwork at homeServe as the main point of contact for families to communicate scholar academic progress and other school informationTrack and input daily student behavior feedback to share with familiesHost and attend two grade level family events (K-4 teachers)Volunteer at two athletic events during the school year School Based Responsibilities Uphold East End Prep's core values at all timesOwn arrival duty, recess or lunch duty (as assigned), and dismissal dutyAttend parent-teacher conferences, Kick Off Night, and other school-wide eventsEngage in ongoing professional development programming, including summer training and PD sessions throughout the yearCERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Candidates applying for a lead teaching role must have an active Tennessee teaching license Candidates without a teaching license can serve as Instructional Support during the current school year and must be willing to pursue teacher licensure starting the 2027-2028 school year.
