Job Description: Working Hours: 5-19 hours per weekHourly Rate: $30.00The Creative Entrepreneurship Events and Programs Coordinator serves as the primary project manager and logistics lead for all departmental programming, bridging the gap between academic coursework and public engagement. This role is responsible for the end-to-end execution of events that connect students, alumni, visiting artists, and external partners. The Coordinator manages a diverse portfolio of events ranging from large-scale external vendor markets (e.g., MassArt Night Market) to academic conferences, speaker series, and student curricular showcases.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Event Planning & Logistics Serves as the project lead for all event operations, creating detailed run-of-show schedules, production timelines, and staffing plans.Secures necessary campus facilities and permits; coordinates room bookings, audiovisual requirements, and furniture needs with internal Facilities and IT departments.Manages the procurement of supplies, catering, and equipment necessary for successful event execution.Ensures all events comply with college safety regulations, accessibility standards, and fire codes.2. Stakeholder & Vendor Management Acts as the primary liaison for external partners, including visiting artists, guest speakers, and alumni, ensuring a professional hospitality experience.Manages vendor relations for retail-focused events (e.g., Night Market), including application review, space assignment, and collection of necessary documentation (contracts, COIs).Collaborates with faculty to align class showcase events with curriculum learning goals.Coordinates with Public Safety and Parking departments to manage guest logistics for off-campus attendees.3. Day-of Execution & Operations Provides on-site leadership during events, overseeing set-up, registration, technical checks, and breakdown/cleanup.Troubleshoots real-time operational issues to ensure a seamless experience for attendees and participants.Supervises student workers or volunteers assisting with event support.4.
