Temporary Plans Examiner

Work involves reviewing residential, commercial and industrial construction plans and specifications to verify compliance with all applicable codes and ordinances. Requirements: * Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. equivalent * Three (3) years' experience as a Building Inspector and/or Plans Examiner And/or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering * ACT 407-State of Michigan certification (copy required) * Valid driver's license * Driving record must meet city's standards for insurability * Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in excel and word programs * Driver's license and certifications required with application Wage: $30.00/hour Hours: 32 hours per week, four days per week. This position will not lead to a permanent job.
