An entry-level diesel mechanic who prioritizes safety and time management. An individual who is coachable and eager to learn. Applicants must be positive and willing to take on new challenges. Minimum Requirements: A Diesel Mechanic must have the following: Availability to work some Saturdays.Reliable transportation to and from workBasic knowledge of:HydraulicsElectrical systemMaintenance Experience Required: (minimum 1 year) OilTiresClutch replacementsRear differentialsFull Driver's License (Driver Permits and Provisional Driver's License are excluded)Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification is Preferred About the position: Responsibilities: Perform basic preventative maintenance on the fleet Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle componentsUpkeep the general cleanliness of the Diesel ShopComply with all Company & OSHA Safety Standards Assist our fleet on the road as needed Other duties as assigned Preferred Skills: Natural mechanical aptitudeAbility to quickly grasp concepts Physical Demands: Individuals must have the consistent ability to: Stand their entire shiftLift, Push, Pull 70lbs regularlyWork in an outdoor environment all year roundMaintain continuous awareness of surroundingsWork in a fast-paced environmentAdhere to the safety protocols and proceduresYou have a choice, Why Sun Services?
