The program offers morning and evening classes in English as a Second Language, High School Equivalency, and Citizenship, both In-Person and Online. The program offers classes in the morning and the evening. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as an illustration of the various types of work that may be performed. Administer DESE-approved Assessments Conduct standardized assessments mandated by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to evaluate students' language proficiency and educational readiness. Ensure adherence to DESE testing protocols to maintain the integrity and validity of the assessments. II. Follow Testing Procedures: Implement established procedures for the Framingham Adult ESL Plus program, ensuring that all assessments are administered consistently and fairly across all classes. Stay updated on any changes to testing procedures or regulations to ensure compliance. III. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all tests administered, including scores and participant information, to support accountability and reporting requirements. Submit daily records to the Assessment Coordinator, ensuring timely and organized documentation. IV. Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with the Assessment Coordinator and other educational staff to align assessment practices with program goals and student needs. Participate in team meetings to discuss assessment results, student progress, and strategies for improvement. Must be able to assist students who have physical difficulties. May be required to move quickly across even or uneven surfaces. Must interact with students, parents, and staff and meet multiple demands. While most of the workday is spent inside, must spend time outdoors for recess and special activities. May be exposed to bodily fluids, disease, or pathogens. May receive injuries from aggressive students. May require physical interaction with students who have difficulty controlling behavior. REPORTS TO Director of Adult ESL The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Framingham School Committee Policy Contract. FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) CLASSIFICATION This position is classified as Non-Exempt (Hourly) TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Covered under Framingham School Committee Contract. This is a grant-funded position and, as such, is dependent upon the availability of grant funds. Employees are hired for one semester with the possibility of renewal.
