The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial data and helping the organization maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain prepaid schedules and associated amortizationsPrepare month end journal entries as well as semimonthly payrollPrepare weekly AP disbursement invoicesPerform monthly bank account reconciliationsAssist Manger in closing the month- end period: create je's, review operating reports, updated month end close trackerAssist Manager with financial reporting requestPreparation of the balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with treasury dutiesResearch troubled policies as requested by support teamVarious projects as assignedOther duties as assignedQualifications and Experience1-3 years of accounting experience requiredBachelor's degree in Accounting preferredStrong analytical, organization, and time management skillsIntermediate Excel skills preferredExemplary written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate with Executive team and internal/external customers.High attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of dataAbility to work independently to effectively solve problemsFamiliarity with Applied Epic (Agency Management System) preferredProficiency in MS Office programsCPA designation a plus, but not requiredCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive compensation package.Structured professional development and career growth opportunities.Generous paid time off and recognized holidays.Comprehensive benefits package, including company 401(k) match.Gym membership reimbursement.This role will be hybrid 3 days in the office, 2 days remote weekly after the training period (approximately 6 months).Hotchkiss Insurance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace.All applicants must be authorized to work in and currently reside in the United States.No agencies or third-party inquiries.
