Job Description :The New York Post is heading West - and this is your chance to be a part of history as we open a brand-new newsroom and make a significant investment in Los Angeles.As part of this bold expansion into Los Angeles, we are looking for an Ad Sales Sr. Marketing Manager/Director to join the Ad Sales Marketing/Post Studios team at The California Post.This role will be responsible for creating proposals and marketing materials, they will work on market research and competitive analysis, pitch and produce custom programs, and manage sold campaigns.Reporting into the SVP, Marketing & Brand Strategy, this client-facing strategic role will work cross-functionally with Design, Account Management and Ad Operations to provide well-rounded support for Ad Sales.Responsibilities:Pre-Sale:Lead brainstorm conversations with internal teams to develop scalable, multi-platform solutions in response to client RFPs or proactive opportunitiesBuild and manage sales material creation in response to RFPs, proactive opportunities and other sales requestsHelp coordinate pricing and media plan details with Account Management and Account ExecutivesDevelop research slides for RFPs and proactive opportunities using syndicated platforms such as comScore and Nielsen ScarboroughManage and update monthly marketing insights materials and presentationsCraft branded content write ups that effectively translate custom marketing ideas into exciting, coherent pitchesDevelop and articulate custom native campaigns, sponsorships and activation opportunities that address client objectivesRegularly meet with Account Executives to follow up on proposals and uncover pro-active opportunitiesStay on top of industry trends and competitive advertising programsPost-Sale:Manage process for sold integrated campaigns:Work with Design, Video, Social, etc. to produce client programsServe as primary communication lead with client and/or agency contacts throughout production processCommunicate timelines and set reasonable expectations for product outcome and project fulfillmentBuild and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external partnersMonitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations as neededAttend/support sponsored events on behalf of the PostBuild post-campaign recap/insights decksOther projects as assignedRequirements:7-10 years of marketing experience developing high-volume campaign pitch decks and proposalsUnderstanding of digital media sales process/players/communication tools and softwareAbility to present ideas in a concise mannerProject management experienceSuperior organizational skillsComfort working under tight deadlinesDiplomatic collaborator with a positive attitude, and eagerness to learnDemonstrated knowledge of pop culture happenings/digital marketing trendsWordPress, Photoshop, Facebook Ad Manager experience a plusNote: This position will be expected to report on-site 3 days per week (subject to change based on business needs).Pay-for-performance is a key element in our strategy to attract, engage, and motivate talented people to do their best work. Accordingly, offers extended for this role will include an annual bonus target typically expressed as percentage of salary.
