Application InstructionsBefore you applyA few things to know before you apply for an hourly position:You must be able to provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.A valid email address is required to submit an application through our online system, which will enable you to receive important updates related to your application.Position Description#NOWHIRINGNP Mechanical Inc., (A 100% employee-owned ESOP) is looking to hire a Plumbing Installer with good work ethics and integrity to join our team.Duties and Responsibilities: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in newly constructed single-family homes.Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.Assemble, install, and connect pipes, fittings, and fixtures to water and drainage systems.Conduct inspections and tests of plumbing systems to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.Collaborate with construction teams to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems with other building components.Estimate and order materials and fixtures needed for plumbing installations and repairs.Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues to ensure optimal system performance.Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.Provide guidance and support to apprentices and junior plumbers as needed.Responsibility for Others: No direct responsibility for othersPosition RequirementsRequirements:Minimum 3 years of experience in residential plumbing, specifically in new home constructionProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawingsStrong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standardsExperience with installation of plumbing systems including pipes, valves, fittings, and fixturesAbility to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems and componentsSkilled in using plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectivelyExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesPhysical stamina and ability to work in various environmental conditionsValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningPhysical Requirements:Must have the physical ability to lift and carry up to 50lb. objects upstairs and be able to climb ladders. Abel to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as scaffolding and high lift equipment.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee for successful performance of the essential functions of this job.
