The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and be able to create a safe and nurturing learning environment for students with special needs.Responsibilities:Create and implement creative lesson plans.Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for students.Assess student progress and modify instruction as needed.Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.Provide support to families of students.Attend Service Plan meetings and other meetings related to student's education.Develop Teaching Assistants to be a productive member of the team.Our small class size of no more than 18 students provides our students with individualized attention. Teaching Assistants support Teacher instruction in each classroom. (Required)Work Location: In person.About the CompanyOur non-Denominational Christian Private School is set on a wooded horse ranch, and we focus on students with Autism and other learning disabilities. We use innovative teaching and classroom management techniques which include the Teaching Family Model and horse interaction as part of the academic experience.Classrooms consist of 1 Lead Teacher, 1-2 Teaching Assistants and a maximum of 15 students. The Elementary classroom has a 5:1 Student to Instructor ratio and our Middle and High School Classroom has a max of 8:1 Student to Instructor ratio.
