As a Jockey Truck Driver, you will be responsible for moving either eggs or cartons between production facilities. This position does not require a CDL (although, CDL is Preferred). However, a DOT physical and a good driving record is required. Job Functions:Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle.Safely and efficiently, handle and unload goods at selected destinations.Ensure contents are properly secured inside the truck to prevent breakage or damage.Communicate with managers regularly during your shift.Trailer Movements around our 5 Site Operation in Gettysburg, PAFollow direction given by Site Managers based on their needs. Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.Fuel both truck and refer every day and as needed.Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.Adhere to company rules and regulations.Make safety a priority at all times.Other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsDOT Physical - REQUIREDAt least 18 years of age.No more than three moving violations in last three years.No criminal background or DUI's.Be able to communicate and converse with a variety of warehouse personnel.Must pass a background and drug test.Highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who performs at the highest level of professionalism and integrity.Alert focused and detail oriented.Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.Self-starter who works well independently.Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.High level of composure and good stress management.MUST be able to Operate a Manual TransmissionQualifications and Skills:Must possess valid Driver's LicenseHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, crouch, push, pull, lift and climb.Must be able to sit for long periods of time.The ability to move safely over uneven terrain and confined spaces.The above requirements serve as a starting point for Hillandale Jockey Truck Drivers and are subject to change or revise at any time.
